"SUPER" NEWS

February 27, 2025

Monday is the first day of Reading Across America Week and schools are planning fun activities to celebrate and instill the love of reading.

Reading has been an instrumental part of my life as a student, educator, and superintendent. As a mother, I spent time daily with my son when he was young reading to him. When he was older, I spent time listening to him read and asking him questions about what he was reading. Today, he is an adult. He still reads and uses the thinking and comprehension skills that he learned from reading.

Our schedules are busy. Time is a precious commodity, but 20 minutes a day can make a difference! Plan a set time every day to read with your child.

Be safe. Be respectful. Be responsible. Be kind!
